Most of our local dues go towards an annual scholarship of $250 to a graduating senior planning to become a teacher. Seniors should submit their scholarship application through the guidance counselor's office with other local scholarship applications. If you would like to contribute to our scholarship fund, you can send a check payable to Fort Calhoun Education Association to Anita Saalfeld, Fort Calhoun Community Schools, 5876 County Road P43, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023, or donate through Venmo indicating that it's for the FCEA scholarship.
Submit your resume and an essay through Fort Calhoun's local scholarship application packet. Click here to go to Mrs. Hernandez's scholarship website.
To receive the FCEA scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Plan to study education in college
Have a 3.0 GPA or higher
Applications must not demonstrate any evidence of AI use.
FCEA may at its discretion award no scholarships if no applicants meet the criteria or multiple scholarships if there are multiple qualified applicants and FCEA has funds available for multiple scholarships.
